Writing to the Top: Screenwriting 101 Workshop

On Monday July 26 at 6pm, we will be hosting, Writing to the Top: Screenwriting Workshop facilitated by Tonja the Disruptor. This workshop will provide exploring screenwriters with an overview of screenwriting. Participants will learn how to structure their stories, develop a theme and characters for their stories.

About Tonja: Tonja, the Disruptor is an award winning writer, speaker and multi-hyphenate artist. Specializing in Gen-X dramas and the trajectories of African American women, Tonja has garnered mentoring from HBO and other film notables, won admission into the Project Involve Filmmaking Lab, was a featured Screenwriting Finalist at the Urbanworld Film Festival, and earned a Screenwriting Fellowship from the New York Foundation for the Arts. Trained in musical theater at the University of Michigan and digital filmmaking in New York, Tonja pays it forward via mentoring, her Writing to the Top© course and others on standout artistry. Disrupting the status quo via the page and stage, Tonja wields theatre, film, conceptual art, and public speaking for Black agency. Tonja is developing scripted and non scripted content and will debut her first novel in the fall of 2021.
