Location: Zoom
Host name: Nia Centre

Description:

Have you ever told a memory so wildly, people respond with, “this can’t be real?”

Whether your writing is focused in creative non-fiction or fiction, this is a disbelief that we often times confront. Creative nonfiction can be defined as “real stories disguised as fiction” or “true stories vividly told”.

On Monday December 7th, poet and fiction writer Téa Mutonji , will explore how both definitions may be combined to tell a story. This workshop will guide you in unpacking true stories and provide you with writing strategies to help you develop them into real stories, blurring the line between fiction and nonfiction.
